In November 2023, the City of Morrison City Council secured the services of the Northern Illinois University's Center for Governmental Studies to assist the City of Morrison in the development of an updated Strategic Plan. The City and NIU CGS then spent most of 2024 working through the process and in November 2024, the City Council accepted and approved its Strategic Plan. During the process, a community survey was offered to the entire Morrison community. Such survey was invaluable to the entire planning process.

As a result of much effort and community cooperation, the City Council is proud to offer to the community, the survey report, an executive summary report and the strategic plan full report.
